Ski Carpet is an indoor-outdoor specialty carpet designed for use in seasonal snow applications. It is entirely produced using 100% recycled, purified plastic bottles. The PET fiber weight is 28 oz per square yard. Ski Carpet resists UV, light and salt. The product has a breathable water permeable backing.
Recommended Application:
Ski Carpet rolls are stretched over the ground or glued to ski lift platforms. The presence of the carpet minimizes the requirement and labor to re-apply snow in these heavy ski traffic areas so as to avoid damage to skis where snow has melted or worn away. Ski resorts typically replace the carpet that was stretched over frames on the ground annually, but Ski Carpet glued to wooden lift platforms can last for several seasons.
Installation:
The carpet must be glued over wood, concrete or metal platforms with approved ASC-300 adhesive. Ski Carpet may alternately be stretched and held by buried supporting frames.
